Very personal. Just putting together. More cathartic than artistic, I suppose.

The Girl Who Married Her Secret

With closed eyes
A closed door begins to open
In the vastness of void of a time
Gone quickly by, in a slow evolving,
Revolving, world of a lifetime, of living
Struggling, battling, building, hiding,
Concealing, feeling fear, and nearly
Killing the girl, who was born and
Changed and chained by a man
Who maimed, drained, detained,
Complained, disdained, and
Absolutely instilled with pain
As he entered into her sacred
Place with his self righteous
Sword, he cut off her light,
Left her dark in that night,
While his eyes, black with
Delight,
Saw nothing.

She whispered, "No, No"
But on did he go!
She hollered in fear,
"Dear Jesus, Be Near!"

The session is over.
A memory recovered.

tears roll down my face
my little one
i am you and you are i
forty years gone by,
trying to hide
you away
from the monster
who hurt us
that way.

The door is opened!
No locks!
No keys!
We are one, you see.
We are We!

Together we'll work to make our way.
We'll build our path.
We'll start today.
For we can see more clearly now,
The monster is gone; the walls torn down!
Our light is up and shinning true
There is Hope alive, in life anew.

Healing Begins...

My silence shall be golden. I kiss the plam of your hand and with a gentle hug I simply listen. Walked several miles in the same shoes and like the black keys on the piano a bit grim yet making things complete, to grow, to learn, lifting ones self up by grace and the gift of forgiveness. Everything new in life as this time we are able to protect and grow stronger setting the pace and direction of the proper ways of life. I set my secret free five years ago without regret; they must reap what they've sown. To be brave is to be you. Thank you for the path that many have traveled but dared not to reveal. May happiness and joy fill your morning cup forever.

Tragically, joyfully expressed freedom. The truth, though ugly, has set you free. The chains of violation and lies have been broken. This is an epic piece of literature because it has true power.

Hi Kathy, lovely to "see" you again on The Bay. This is a sad piece that unfortunately I have some experience, but I am heartened to see the hope and healing.
