café opera

~

ah ghost   i kept a photo

you appear   as ghosts do   occasionally

i think of our brief crossing of minds

perfect words

before my other self said too much

ah ghost     i am wistful

could i shed my heavier self   the dull one

i would come to listen

snap my fingers   raise a flame

as it is   i cannot

the duality plagues me   slays me

you will be fabulous

I understand this poem better than you can imagine. There is a duality that is unique and different in each of us and it can be felt in so many ways. But the poem is sensitive and you have shown the struggle with a sense of humor. I enjoy the two line arguments. Love it! I don't know how I missed this one.
