It took a special person to show me what love is. Never before have I ever felt a slither of the love he has shown to me. I look back in my life to the other times I thought I was in love realizing now that I have never been in love until now. I'll be 40


Evaluating My Heart

I thought I was in love before
But now that I think back on it
I was in love with being with someone
Because I was afraid of being alone.

My eyes were just opened
To a love that's honest and true
I don't need to tell him
What makes me happy...
He does it all on his own.

It's the little things he does
That makes my heart beat
All day long
And keeps me going strong.

I love him more and more each day
There's no doubt at all
That he is the one I waited for
The one that fills my heart and soul
With a love I never before knew.

I could sit here all day
And tell you all the reasons
I love him so
But my smile says it all.

It says that I love him
With my body, mind, and soul
Each day with him
Keeps getting better and better
Than the days before.
