My poverty is my honour

We learn today how all the richest people,
billionaires and multi-millionaires
own more and more than half of all the world,
while the majority must starve without clean water,
while the epidemics, like malaria and tuberculosis,
cholera and other world pandemics of the poor
are steadily increasing to irrevocably unsurmountable proportions.

I was poor in all my life, lived in the slums for 9 years,
have the lowest pension possible of Sweden
and am proud of it, not being part of the abusive rich,
the world possessive billionaires like Trump and Putin,
autocratic China with their puppet rogue dictatorships,
trying to obstruct democracy and freedom
by restricting freedom of expression on the web
and persecuting journalists unto assassination.

What outrageous mob is that suppressive class of 1%
enforcing a brave new world order
that would only kill all freedom first and then the planet!

I am rather poor and free than will have any part
in smothering all life and freedom by the force of power
of the vanity of self-destructive economic wealth
that must lead only to abuse, corruption and perdition.

Oh how I hear you!
It is as abysmal as you say but I do believe that change is on its way. Well I have to...
We ebb and flow as societies and as empires do and yet I have faith in our young people. They are connected to the world in a way we were not...untruths are now easily exposed and hopefully the insouciance of our supposed betters will become intolerable to all.
I enjoyed reading this aware of my full stomach and thank you for stating the poor obvious.
