My Wish

Looking at your picture when you're not there
Reminding me how much you care
Waiting for the day you can hold me near.
I feel our love getting stronger each day
Knowing that our love is here to stay
You make me smile when I feel gray.
Planning our future and the days ahead
Each night together as we get ready for bed
You hold me tight and kiss my head.
You smile all day long
In your arms I know I belong
I have been trying to write you a song.
My words are in my heart
They have been there from the start
But putting the on paper is the hard part.
At least my words are put to this
I will whisper in your ear between each kiss
As you work on granting my wish.
My wish of being happy and loved forever!
