WHILE IN THE POST OFFICE QUE!

One mid afternoon
I had course to
Go to my main
Post office
Strait in a huge que!
You know how it is
Frustration in all in the que!
Behind me a mother and father
With their servilely disabled daughter
In her wheelchair
I duly gave an acknowledging smile
To mum and dad
But made eye contact with their daughter
I smiled and talked to her - made a connection
I berbalde on and on - stop - so has to give
The daughter chance to reply!
Then on I went talking to her - smiling as I talked to her!
She smiled - she were a happy bunny!
Mum and dad said: '' we've never seen her like that - ever! ''
I smiled - my way of relying!
Then my turn at the counter - I were duly served!
I look towards the three - I smiled - waved - a Cheerio
Got on with my day!

A memory of the day you made someone happier than they'd ever been. An enjoyable read.
