Thoughts on seeing a vacant lot between old buildings

The Lot

What was here
I do not know
Perhaps a house
Windows aglow

A carriage house
A barn perhaps
A stand of trees
A meandering path

A place of reflection
A farrier's shop
With roaring forge
And harness strop

Possibly a small stone Kirk
Steadfast ivied, welcoming, strong
It stood the test of weather's blast
But succumbed to innue's persistent song

At Coo & Co, we're pretty fond of list poems too, so this is a very enjoyable read for us, Joe. We also relish a little mystery and magic! This builds well too, as you let your imagination strengthen in the space. We're especially drawn to the 'roaring forge' and the steadfast ivy of the final verse :>)

I like list poems. The list that you made in the poem, albeit imaginary, gives readers enough room for imagination.
