Feint

leaf trembles
as violent truth
a gale
blows asunder
all relief and
swallows defense

delicate
longing
feint

a lopsided ceiling
caves
remains
a woebegone
dispirited display
a monument

gentle wind
or brazen,
fall away
or stay

tis a poisoned tree
and both shall die
in winter
neither
to be reborn

Wow, I love this. There's something cathartic, but tender here. I agree, beautiful use of language, it flows.

This is beautiful language, thoughtfully crafted. It captures the attention and rewards the reader immediately.
