In-Between the Rainfalls

What does the sky do
In-between the rainfalls?
When the clouds go away
And the day tires and stalls
When the time stands still
The birds too tired to call
Sometimes I do wonder
What he is doing after all

Airplanes make him itchy
Bright kites make him grin
Breezes sing their lullabies
He scratches the sunís chin
For in-between the rainfalls
Is for contemplating on life
Nothing can be dwelt upon
In tempest's storms of strife

This is charming, Friend D. Coo twirls on the arm of FT's magic chair :>)

We're drawn in by the opening question and we very much enjoy the musings that follow. We like the rhyme scheme too. And the final two lines seem most sage to us. Coo presents Friend D. with a kite, in the shape of a kite bird :>)
