when last rays of summer wanes

winter's cup raised

Here's to many a sidelong glances!
The roundabout can sometimes resemble
a carousel or even a theme park caterpillar,
of knowing and not knowing in turn; and
with each passing, glinting bar handles
reflect bemusedly back at gazing eyes
at this view from a colder mountain.
