City

Claustrophobia blinding the five senses.

A sea of faces mingle in the crowd,
As legible speech turns into raucous cackles
With bodies grinding finding no way out.

The gutter exhales the stench of yesterday’s filth
That gets caught in the mouth.

You hack and spit.
