A picture of you

If only I could freeze one picture,
A picture I could see within my mind.
It would be picture of you for all time,
Then to me you would always be alive.

Although I know you haven't left me,
I'll always have alzheimer's on my mind.
If only I could believe, That I would always see,
A picture of you and me within my broken mind.

I hope you will, Alan. A good friend's parents both acquired Alzheimer's about the same time. Her mother passed first. Her father never forgot his beloved wife ever. But what he did forget daily, was that she had died. It broke my heart. I have wondered myself, about that too--
There are many pictures frozen in my head.I hope you have a good day with lots of hugs.
