IT MUST BE TRUE IT WERE IN PAPER! (A Loop Storry)

Scearly, there are still some who say:
'' It were in paper, so it must be true! ''
Not so long ago, I Were on The Loop ''
Minding my own bissnes, as I do
Bloke on the seat in front
Started tell any one who cairde to listan
That grenaid had been handed over to the Red Cros
A charity shop in town
I looked for the storry on line, saw nofing of the kind!
The following, the town, like hive, buzzing with '' News ''!
A local rag, ran the story!
On the Loop the day before, The Loop, had gon down to King Street
All were normal!
Yet the local rag had said: '' A Grenade had been handid in to

'' The Red Cross ''
So the paper said

The papers do get wrong. Including
That particular story about a grenade.
But the stories that I write, I try to confirm
Before I write. There have been many handed
Items given to charity shops including in the UK.
The odd grenade. There's two many for me sight,
On this poetry site. But I will publish what happened to
