Funny things we say
Occasionally for me,In the dead off night.
I creep up the stairs,
To my loving wife.
Already sleeping,
She wakes and says.
" Alan is that you ".
Who does she expect
In the middle of the night?
To climb in bed, " who ".
I never get into bed,
Then say to her guess who.
It would probably scare her,
it would probably me too.
To be truthful I'm never,
out of her sight not ever.
Anyone can see that,
carol and I are meant to be.
So I would say affectionately,
of course you know it's me.
