If a sports match was being commentated by priests, they'd be trying to spot the Hand of God in every play — 'and here we see the divine foot in the penalty area, brethren!' They'd absolutely flood the broadcast with God's presence in space-time.

Too funny! 🤣
Although I must admit that the sporty priests I’ve been acquainted with were quite thoroughly secular about sports and not spiritual at all. Still an excellent poem though on the incongruence.
