I thought I saw a celebrity on the subway, I asked and found out that I was wrong. This inspired me to write this poem, which I've shared other places on the net and is now sharing with Poetbay. Hopefully you'll like it :)


I think I've seen you on TV

I think I've seen you on TV
as some kind of celebrity
I might be wrong, I might be right,
but I have to ask whenn you're in sight

I think I've seen you on the stage
or writing stories page by page
I'll probably guess incorrectly,
but you look like him or her exactly

I want to be a star myself
and then you see stars everywhere
To be a great celebrity
they think they've seen on their TV

I think I've seen you're face before
in magazines I can't ignore
I wonder if it's really true
that I some day have seen just you

I want to be a star myself
and then you see stars everywhere
To be someone that people love
and think they've seen before somehow

They'll think they've seen me on TV
as some kind of celebrity
