For Just One Day A Week
Happy, happy, the smiling face that greets me,Her eyes hold no cruelty, her kindness shows,
Making the worst of days easier to survive,
Her friendship I cherish, her heart glows.
Other thoughts seem distant and faraway,
When she's near, my attention she holds,
And today, I will ask her, come what may,
I will make my move, be confident and bold.
Its been an eternity since I felt like this,
Its been a lonely struggle for too long,
I must look to the future and grab it,
I will take this chance before its gone.
