Willow

Sadness creeps within me

Like a real and living thing

Filling places full of darkness

Where Angels used to sing

I feel the pressure in my heart

Of one who gasps for air

Yet all I see about me

Are the faces of despair

Where the Willow dips the water

Let my tears now fill the void

Set my spirit free to wander

With the memories once enjoyed

Let that part of me feel warmth again

My soul to face the sun

Take my heart once more

Into the light

And let thy will be done.

As yet I have read nothing that you have written that is not superb
A Silky flow of words that conjure in my mind what may indeed be the essence of mankind.
What can I say fantastic.

A brilliant piece of writing as good as it gets. Really enjoyed the read. Only tempered by the sadness in the words.

A wonderful prayer poem penfold, we all feel this sadness at times and your final stanza lifted me on high again so well. Excellent work, smiling at you, Tai
