Butterfly Thoughts

i find my butterflies
in my stomach
like a pretty monarch
flying above the petals
dew dropped
and shied away
like a fallen angel
i look in your eyes
to find my ground
yet your eyes
have been closed
and you turn away from me
to fight my demons alone
