THE NEW BRITISH WAY OF SAYING GOODBYE

The English way of saying goodbye ,

I kind of prefer ,

The parsing of a loved one ,

Old and young a like ,

More now a celebration of the life ,

Rock , pop , even hummer ,

The tears , sadness , replaced ,

With smile's , even laughter ,

Priest , vickers, redundant ,

Death is but a mear detail ,

The life lived , what was given ,

Lives on , in those who know.

"Death is but a mear detail"

So true. And too often, a detail too soon forgotten.

Love the poem, Ken...
