Somewhere Else

If I could, I'd take you away
To a planet among the stars
Where all is light and peace.
We can swim in the Milky Way
And ride a comet round and round
And shuck oyster-stars in a nebula
Cocooned in colors
Bathed in light
In an endless, soft night.

This indeed very nicely complements the same poet's subsequent poem, "Meeting Halfway." Thanks for the insight, Nancy!

I can only echo Jim and Vladimir . . . shucking oyster-stars is an image that will stay with me forever, not only because it is so evocative but because something truly original is so rare.

You are a most imaginative person. This one is stunning!

Rather than comment on the whole poem, I will simply say that
shucking oyster stars is as about as wonderful a galactic image as I can imagine.

Welcome to pbay, cheers,
jim
