His side of the story

Victim of Marriage 2

When I was a bachelor
She was my best choice
A loving
Caring spinster of honour
And virtue
A second away from her
Was like eternity
A minute with her
Can not be described
I enjoyed every moment of our courtship

But when we became one
And had our first child
We had our first test
I lost my job
My wife became a terror
A viper of the first order
No more food
No more hug
No more Kisses

I became her bitter heart
The pepper in her eyes
The father of her child
And the victim of marriage

Now it's her turn
To feel the pain
And fill the blank space I left
The Victim of Marriage

ken d williams The PoetBay support member heart!
We in the U K have a quote for such times: '' When poverty come in through the front door . Love leaves by the back door ''.
Such times proves love is ever lasting . Or only when times are proves love is temporary. When life is good and times are times of plenty .
I am reading your work with great interest.

These two poems telling two different sides of the story are remarkably frank and vivid, each a compelling story. On which side does the truth lie?
