Written when the sun had gone to my head, I think, in a sunny park in Prague.

reading goethe
in the park
sounds too
pretentious
to be true

but it is

let's keep it
'tween us
just me
and you

ok

I don't know a better place to read Goethe.

I like simple poems that tell far more than the brevity suggests.

I love this Peter . . . it takes me back almost fifty years to when I would take a book of poetry to the park, sit under a tree by the pond, read and wait for someone to notice my "uncommon sensibility" . . . pretentious is exactly what I was.
