From my poetry collection FLOWERS DO SPEAK

I AM A THOUGHT

Tonight i was a thought in somebodys' mind.I didn't sleep.
The persistent song of the birds brought me back to my reality.
Here all of my feelings are deep
and my mind lost in serenity.

I am a thought built from silent words.
A thought as one of the trillions Gods' works.
I enter dreams that tears wake up.
I create worlds that never start.

I am a constant thought in my mothers' mind.
And you can also search in silence to find,
the true beginning of my body.
I can capture and live in everybody.

I come in peace but war is my religion.
Life collapsing under my pressure is my vision.
Erupting souls and reborn minds
is my purpose and what, with me,one finds.

I am a thought.Aren't we all?

I enjoyed all of this for the peace in the emotions expressed, like you're bringing us into your quiet space... but I particularly liked L1-L2's effect as they conjure a nice image and thoughts. And yes, I think we are all a thought to someone, somewhere, some time. Not sure why, but this made me think about something a friend of mine and I used to do as kids when we'd be apart in different classes at school... we'd think of one another when upon looking at the clock all of the numbers were the same (ex.: 1:11, 2:22, etc). It's a bit peculiar, but to this day, whenever the clock shows all the same numbers, I think of her. Anyway, that's where your thoughts sent me :) Very nice, thanks.

Yes, you are indeed. But with your pen, the feeling is always good. Beautifully crafted lines, each one.

Good morning Afrodite.
My, I probably shouldn't have said it,
This is the first poem that I have read,
That truly spoke to me as I read it.
Your written word is more than fine,
I'm not to sure about your last line,
Let me think about it.
