Word and Thought

Because the walls of the world are bowing outwards
For now there is no soul the spirits howl and flee
Lives are stolen by the schemes of phony cowards
Somehow what was once taken for granted, is no longer free

Shalt I follow thee down unto Egypt mine ancient Love
Encrust thine eyelids with jewels stolen objects of thee Night
Break my heart with artless gimmicks for there is nothing above
Ourselves and anyone, anything may be taken, even Light

Shines strangely through the feathery shadows dancing
Characters of famished dreams on pyramids of crumbling walls
It makes me love you even more, what are we chancing ?
Only a darkness edge without each other, cry as it falls

Laugh at one another, grasp for papers strangers ink
Gasp what we uncover, there is something between word and thought
Half aware of nothing ask not what is there to think
It is not known for time is riddled with the mysteries we sought
