131. Trust
How much can I trust you?
I trust you with my life
for you to keep and harbour in your heart
forever, if you like,
for my life is my love,
and if I can not share it with my love
it is a waste for nothing
worth no more than nothing.
So it is better that you keep it
safe, from me, so I don't waste it
on what is not love, that is,
that it is better for my love to keep it
in safe custody for her own love
than it is given up on anything that is not love.
