Life is like a fireBurning all day long
Problems come and go like that
Of course things will go wrong
If you fall, get up again
If you fail, try just the same
A lack of choice, severs your voice
And then comes the shame
You only live once this time
So just look around and feel
The sights and sounds; found all around
Your life this time is real
Perseverance makes our heart
Beat like that of a drum
Fuel the fire that burns in your soul
To keep flames going strong
To try your best is the basis
Of all fundamental play
The truth is all around us
We must decide today
When the kindle flame of life runs dry
We must be able to see
That we lived a meaningful life
That we didn't meet too soon: The Knife
