Boats by the waterside before the day is done
Shadows setting nicely on spectators heads
Picnics all around hope everyone is fed
Such vibrant colors of orange and red
Accentuates the meat and the tasty olive bread
Lovely little breeze that's flowing through the trees
Looking at the boat race coming up ahead
Girls playing dress up with the dolls by their side
Boys think their sly so they all try to hide
Dogs play around cause they ran from the pound
Sun starts to set while the moon tries to rise
So the day done; guessing everyone had fun
Umbrellas now away until another summer day
Summer afternoons sure strike up some fun
