Eternally


The surface is fragile
the surface that you walk upon
yet there is strength deep within
discarded faces spiral
the world will not look at you
as they understand nothing
you are the glimmer of existence
a dream that whispers throughout the night
the sorrow in a tear drop that never dies
and as i wake and look upon you
my angel, my love
i understand that time has no meaning
and death is but a gesture
for my soul is forever yours
and will eternally lie
in the sanctuary of your heart.
