recall a winter once long a g o
I was a scarecrow with bituminous eyes
singing you ancient and sacred lullabies
you were so light a child of s n o w
song fell deeply reverent cladding the trees
covering our forms with the night's mysteries,
in cradles of sleep murmuring so
