Actually, it's the old stuff: May 2016.

This Is The New Stuff

1

Cardinal alights
in the ragged shrubbery.
I have mail from you!

2

Three in the morning:
freshly brewed Folgers coffee ---
Poems work on me.

3

Sound of a tame snake
hissing in a clump of leaves:
car on wet asphalt.

4

During those ungodly days,

your eyes were Jesus to me.

5

Why am I so damned
susceptible to women?
Spring! The heart frolics.

6

Middle-aged poet
throws a verbal knuckleball,
makes the angels swing.

7

Sometimes I suspect

that her toes (those wee pranksters!)

are laughing at me.

Yayāti
Very enjoyable haiku poems. I especially like number 2 and 7. And I think that number 4 can still be turned into a three-lined, proper haiku. :)
