CYPRESS

Inside this earth i stand i will be
a mortal soul devours me.
The day i die will be no lie
and in this land of trees, i'll have no enemies.

Cypress, Cypress a human less.
You will outlive the human race
with your immaculate grace.
Cypress, Cypress a human less.
No long story and no glory,
to this body which will feed your body.

As proud as you i longed to be.
I thought life's drainless like the sea.
But now i kiss my last breath goodbye
and all my minds ask me why.

Cypress, Cypress a human less
You will live to see the best,
of humankind in future line.
Cypress, Cypress a human less.
Moon, sea, mountains and all the rest
more of me alive, in this ghostly life.

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
This is a song as much as a poem, full of melody. Very nice, full of grace (as you say).
