No thank you.

Excellentlty written piece, and that is as it should be. Sex is meant to be shared between one man and his wife. I love the way you expressed your sentiments on the subject.

It Looks Like Junk to Me!

2012-10-29
Jim, I haven't seen a junk yard dog or a car on blocks but think the place would look more natural if it did have one or two of each.

Thanks for the read!

The Internet.

Great work there Lil. I definitely am not a high tech person, but I do enjoy the Net. It is a great place to meet people. I met my new wife online. We are a great match.

Hello Dear Lady,

I somehow missed this one, and it is of course wonderfully written as most all of yours are. I love your writings.

Personally, I prefer to have mine left alone. If I want to share them then that is what I will do, but that doesn't mean I wan't everyone else to share them with just anyone that they might want too. You know your writings sometimes (though not always) get very personal.

I believe that we should have the opportunity or whatever it is called to delete the comments that we make if we should want to as the author of them. Also as the author of the poem we should be able to delete a comment if we should so desire.

The Spirit of Love

2010-09-18
You are right my Carolyn has been laid to rest but is still here as surely as I am here. I see her in everything and every place that I go. I always know that she would or would not approve of everything that I do. I can hear here laugh when I pull a joke on someone or laugh at me when it doesn't go over the way I meant for it too.

She loved laughing at me just as much as laughing with me.

The Love Letter

2010-09-18
Sometimes that is the way our love gets returned too. Unopened that is. I have met a few during my life that I thought I loved and tried to give my life to them only have them return it to me unopened and ignored completely.

Great Work Barb!

No Greater Love

2010-09-18
I remember you telling me about this. She must have known that Kevin didn't have that much strength in and of himself. She probably figured out that he had an extra strength coming from another woman. Women you know are stronger than men in most things. A great piece of writing dear lady.

One Man

CANCER Acrostic

2010-03-30
Very good Phyllis sometimes, though, a cancer patient never gets the chance to fight. My wife never left the hospital, and only lasted just under a month from the time they found it until she left this world. I am sure that was because it took the doctors so long to realize that there really was something wrong with her like she kept telling them. Sometimes a doctor knows his patient to well and just shrugs off his/her comments is what I think. I think that is what happened with her.

The good thing, however, is she isn't suffering anymore. And she did suffer greatly.

Where There Is Love

2010-03-26
The sad thing is that even where there is love disagreements still do abound. The great thing is that love is still found when all settles back down.

I love this piece. I suppose you can tell by the fact that this is my second comment.
Damon

Headache

2010-03-26
Sometimes I can simply ignore them and they go away. Other times it doesn't matter what I do or what I take they aren't going anywhere and let me know it for days on end. A Wonderful write that you have here my friend!

Amusements in Unpoetry

2010-03-26
Maybe you shoulda smacked the granddaughter that time. Just kidding, but sometimes they do need it you know. I would like to know what kind of perfume you were using that day, or do you smoke? Kids can be brutally honest sometimes can't they?

I love these. I have heard Don't know shit from shinola. Must be about the same thing--I guess.

airline food

2010-03-20
Sometimes things of no consequence affect us deeply other times like this a person wonders what it was that make the stewardess ever speak in a joking way about anything so serious. Even I who (though never serious) would have known better than that. Great words here Kathy.

That Long Black Limousine!

2010-03-19
I am glad I wrote this. When I wrote it, we didn't have a clue that my wife was sick. Now she too has taken her turn in that limousine. The difference is--Hers was blue rather than black, but the morning was still just as great among family and friends. My baby has always been a healthy and happy person. Everyone was caught so off guard when she was diagnosed with cancer just last month and exactly one month from the day she was diagnosed we held her funeral. She had the cancer (according to the doctors) six months or more before it was ever diagnosed.

Thanks to everyone who reads and comments on this piece and any of my other ones also. Damon D. Brewer

Boredom Town

2010-03-19
I know this feeling well. Now that my Carolyn is gone--I find that I am all alone in this same boredom town as you. At least we have a population of two. I must ask, though, how do you make it through all the long boring days after death takes a loved one from you?
