Wow! This is brilliant Ken. In the process of giving the mind something good to absorb we receive in turn how to appreciate others, honor opinions, show respect, view life as one big beautiful picture but most of all, in the end, when everything is said and done we develop a wider sense of compassion and tenderness towards the power of what comes from the heart of mankind. Writing and reading have always walked the walk while talking the talk hand in hand. I just had to come back for a minute to comment on this well expressed poem. I guess it's good to say that life is good and can only get better if you write what you read and read what others have written. To do so is much like the spinning of the planet Earth; this is how life is, anything else makes no sense. Thanks for such greatness. Genius!

Poetry like fine wine only gets better with age and the display of poetic words being a hug or a gentle kiss is simply many points of positive views on how beautiful a California sunset can be in the company of good friends or the heart of someone longing for life while maturing in their reflection of growing wiser. To explain poetry is nature's way of revealing one's soul so make your words as sugar and honey; wonderful on the way down while waiting for a new chapter to begin. Thanks Ken you're a great writer. This is simply wonderful!

Thank you Ken and your poetic words, ever so cleverly displayed has made it clear that what is intended to be salt in one's wound actually helps in the healing. Today I learned a new expression from you pertaining to the word "dig". Yeah it's true that people who see your greatness and relentless efforts from the heart by doing the things you love to do. You were and still are a nice guy with powerful messages lending food for thought without long speeches and complicated situations. Though others may not desire to admit it; envy and jealousy alway arrives wearing green, spewing thoughts and hidden clues of wanting to be like the fellow they dig but lack the courage to walk in their shoes. This is one of your greatest poems for it in itself is a lifelong clarification of who some people truly are. Excellent work. Thanks for the wisdom.

Hello Ivan. This is well written with the ability to hold one's attention start to finish. I very well understand all you've expressed and it is pretty much the same all over the planet; a few spots haven't fallen into such illness of the heart and mind of society. Man must consider that there is a higher power other than politics and deals behind closed doors that are not for the wellbeing of mankind. I've hand the experience of standing high on a mountain and while looking down came to realize just how minute we as a race of people truly are; like slow moving dots on a checkerboard it seemed. I've often wondered how we can vote politicians into office and they make rules to set themselves apart from the folks that voted then in office; hummmmmmmm.
An eye opener to the reality of what is going on in every corner of the world. Great work!

Buzzards huh? Buddy ya better hope the crows don't show up! Ya see the buzzard waits for his prey to die whereas crows; they cause a fuss and make lots of noise and leave a mess afterwards. So while you are waiting for your eyes to be plucked out; youll die trying! Great write, it's totally you and your style of words on a string.

And I totally agree. The disdain spew their venom and expect all to be well. In short I too shall create my pleasure as well as my own personal sorrow; for the joy of it. Think I'll purchase an island. Right on the money and true to any sane heart. Great experience with another who knows the realness of this life. Worry not for you'll be back even if it is to correct what must be made right; as not to judge. We all must be made right in God's eye, right? This is a honest point of view if ever; strength to the tenth power. Very well written and i had to think a moment on life as it is presented to each of us. Nice read.
