For the ghost of Alice.

Poet and Poem

Waiting for you for such a long time gone bye
Watching and waiting for eternal Summer and the River song
I was living for the dying of my delirious greens turned blue
High as a ghost on the fumes of haunted dreams wielded like violet pens
By the slender finger rapiers of your hands and the way they wove like wings
Creating unforeseen and blessed openings;
The wind blowing ten times faster now and then through the volumes kept in mind,
Mine was the corner tucked so faraway you never made
The promise we spoke of in thrown away enchanted breath
Guess we only loved one another unto Death,
Life with you was not to be within any current menu set upon template
So you stayed the course and did your worse to do your best to set the record straight,
Beautiful Fools;
Sing
Dance
Love
Live
Die,
The Poet and the Poem.
