My Requests
You know all the cliches of erosion.Hills go flat. Cliffs fall into the sea.
Months have passed
And my love hasn't faded.
Would you like to go to lunch with me?
I remember when we were together.
I was happy. Surely you could see.
Now, I pine
And wonder how you're doing.
Won't you spend an afternoon with me?
Moral strictures say we can't be lovers,
Such a shame. That's what we should be.
I still hope
And dream I can convince you.
Someday, will you stay the night with me?
How I'd love to find you in the morning,
In my bed, sleeping next to me.
There's no chance
That that will ever happen.
Ariel, just spend some time with me.
