Muhammad Ali is dead; this is my tribute to the boxing 'bee', the pugilist poet.

Phoenix

Strike a match,
Flick a lighter,
Raise the latch,
Let out the fighter,
Pull the ropes,
Sound the bell,
The warrior hopes
There's heaven in hell,
Count him in,
Count him out,
His thick skin
Can take this bout,
KO,
OK,
On with the show
For another day,
Lord of the ring,
Jester of the stage,
Where's your sting?
Where's your rage?

Strike a match,
Flick a lighter,
Come and watch
The death of a fighter.

Very good. Ali was a showman and a great fighter. I loved watching fights with my father. But now I just feel that all boxers are used. Just like in dog or cock fights.
