Done
I made a diagram which illustratesWhy I am done with you. The first
Wedge notes that, though you loved
The way I would attend to you, you
Had no interest in me. I had no worth
To you except as some dead soul who'd
Let you natter ceaselessly about
Yourself. The second wedge, the
Bitter one, contains your craven
Acquiescence to your mom, if that
Was what it was. You ran to her,
A helpless girl, bawling. "Make him
Go away." I'm gone. Are you still
Wearing diapers? Go, play your
Pathetic games. Dress up like
Some superhero. Sit inside and
Die the death of one more pallid,
Flabby girl, poster child for the
Emptiness of a suburban life.
The diagram reveals your faults.
I once was where you remain, but I
Moved on, and, having done so,
Haven't any use for you. I've tried
To give some substance to you,
But your shallowness intrudes.
Have a lovely day, my love.
I know I'm done with you.
