Pop

A release like the bursting of the seams of my mind
New possibilities stream in,
like breath into long empty lungs
Heart and spirit burning brighter
in their newfound freedom to express, to be
To be, to see
To see and respond with tenderness
Of the wisened mother
Of her newborn self.

"Pop" is a wonderful title for a poem this rich with life and joy. It bursts with optimism, a new life, to be treated with "tenderness," which is the key word in the poem (for me). Very nice.
