The Deep Thinkers
The mediocre poets gather to addressReality. No, not the world you think
You see, but one that is beyond it
Somewhere, bigger, deeper, one
Transcendent. Owners of impoverished
Minds, they stray beyond coherency.
As they disperse, I notice that I'm
Hungry. I would like to eat. I
Stride toward the cheese and crackers,
Stuffing some into my mouth until
My hunger ends. I leave them,
Having apprehended my reality.
