Ariel
I pitied her at first, and then I loved her. That was a mistake. An immature
And shallow girl, never center of
Somebody's world, as I made her
Of mine, she bathed in what she
Hadn't known, my unrestrained
Affection, but then, one day, she
Had had enough, and, since she'd
Only loved the love, and hadn't
Cared much for the lover, she, so
Like a little girl, went to beg her mom
To tell me I should go away. Her
Mom said just so much to me, and,
Now she's near, but doesn't speak,
And I, at this point, find that I no
Longer love or pity her. I see her
As I'd see somebody without
Prospects at a bus stop, and,
While such a person might inspire
Lines of poetry, she's otherwise
Of no concern. I'll find somebody
Else to love, and she will go without
Affection, clueless, shallow, immature,
And unrecalled by me.
