A Nation of Sociopaths
For a buck, I'll sell you weapons you can useAgainst your enemies, and, for a buck, I'll
Have those socialists you voted in replaced,
And, for a buck, I'll have my taxes cut,
Your wages cut, your poor old uncle's
Pension gutted, children begging on
The streets. A buck means more to me
Than drinking water or untainted air,
Than the education you receive.
Don't speak to me of commonwealth,
Or happiness. They're not important
To a real American. He only wants
A buck.
