Looking ahead to warmer weather! We're still stuck in winter around Boston.

And thanks to Ken D. Williams for the inspiration!

Random Spring Thoughts

Lilacs on Kirkland street

on the way to the workshop

Crocuses and earthiness

forsythia's glad grace

Open-toed shoes

on the lissome undergrads

Radios getting louder

car windows rolled down

And the bees! they're waking up!

gossipping about the latest

Poets don't seem to mind

the sporadic rains of April

Robins are robinning

as only they know how

Sun brings out the thick

funk of the mud

I thought I might have even heard

the trodden pavement sing!

A nice springy piece indeed. I have been told that even though it is autumn here, because the weather is so damn hot the plants and flowers are not dying off. Apparently they are confused. I know I am.
