Weeping and Laughing

Weeping is such a pageant of a thing
Convulsing in sorrow, tears that sting
So much energy is expelled in its grief
Hearts so broken, agonizing for relief
Exuberant laughing can do the same
Extruded expressions, but we remain
These things displaying our inner self
Highlight our life, proclaim our health

So right. Laughter and weeping can sound and look very similar, with all the energy that they expel, but one is in grief and sorrow while the other brings relief and repairs our hearts.
Good poem.

Not always Ken as you say it depends on the situation. If you laugh in the throes of despair, I think they call that madness.
