Pain's the uninvited guest, who came, unpacked,
And will not leave. It is tyrannosaurus rex, its jaws
Firmly ahold of me. It is a shroud across the sky
Which dims the light and drowns my spirits.
It's the devil, risen up, to gaily torment me,
And I'm unable to resist. My popgun pain pills
Don't deter it. Only one thing does; that's sleep,
And my one wish at this point is that I will
Never wake.
