Drowning
I know what it's like to swim the oceanFar from any shore. I've felt the desperation
That wells up when one's beneath the waves.
I feel as if I'm there right now. I cannot rise
To call to her, and I do not know the way
To safety. As I gag and flounder, I dream
She will rescue me.
