POETS ARE OUT OF THE CLOSET!
At long last poets no longer embarrassed!The War Poets first to open ajar the closet
Doors!
The Rappers opened the doors wide open
Through Off the closet doors of the hinges!
Now more and more poets bursting out - FREE!
FREE - to express them selfs - in what ever way they choose!
One night I met up with local poets it were an open mik night
Unfortunately the evening clashed with England playing a world cup semi - final
So very few there in the pub - a poet said '' no reason why we should read our work
To each other! ''
So I volenterd to be the first to read!
I'd barely begun - when the pub doors burst open - in came the football fans!
England had lost - yet again!
My knees came together!
I resumed my reading - the pub were very quiet!
Yes I were expecting the worse!
I need being not being worried one said after I read my chosen work:
'' That was about - ME! '' - and he shook my hand!
