That Part Never Was Explained
Rapunzel, this is apt to hurt, so I won'tThink the less of you if you decide to change
Your mind. Let down your hair and I will
Climb, and I, despite my gallant air,
Will fall upon you, pluck your flower.
You may blush, but we both know that that
Is mostly what you want. The loss of lodgings
Isn't. Neither would be a long horseback ride
To motherhood and penury, and, anyway,
Should you submit and let me climb,
And let me have my way with you,
By what means could we both escape
This tower we'd be in?
