I STEPT OUT SIDE

I stepped out side a tea and coffee shop for a cigarette
Minding my own businesses
When a young lad saw me asked me for loose change
I said no - only so many I can help - am not made of money
I'm reliant on my pension and benefits due to strokes I have suffered
The lad clearly taken by alcohol and passably in to drugs
Said he were homeless
I said I had no loose change to give him
To this he said I did not know what it is like to be homeless
The lad reacted most verberly used words that said I were a so and so
He side that he were not responsible for he being homeless
So am I responsible for the state he were in
