Stairway To Heaven

Tonight in the sky I saw a stairway in the clouds
A stairway that would have led me straight to you.

I wanted to run up them as fast as I can
Just to see your smiling face again.

I thought for a moment wishing I could
But then realized that this is not the right time.

I have so much more living to do
And a new path in life to explore.

I know you are walking with me and filling my heart with love
So much love that you want me to share with the world.

I miss you more than you will ever know
But knowing we will meet again puts a smile on my face.

The memories I have of you are as strong now as the days we made them
With them we will never be far from one another.
